# Pilgrim raises $25 million for biological threat detection device

Pilgrim raised $25 million in seed funding for a device designed to detect biological threats, the Wall Street Journal reported. The 50-pound device combines air sampling with genomic sequencing, which reads genetic material to help identify what was collected.

Two Anthropic leaders are also investing in the company. The funding gives Pilgrim capital to develop its detection technology.
