# Magnora secures grid connection for Hämeenlinna data-center project

Magnora has secured a firm grid connection for its planned Hämeenlinna data center near Helsinki, developed with Northern Europe Energy Group.

The company says the connection is scheduled for the first quarter of 2029, with a potential fast-track route to the second half of 2028. Magnora also signed a non-binding letter of intent with a local utility covering district heating, backup power and additional electricity. It says the project could exceed its previously reported 120MW potential, without disclosing a revised figure.
