PwC confirmed Monday that a third-party vendor site holding employee learning records had been breached, Cybersecurity Dive reported. The disclosure followed a claim by Everest ransomware that it stole 590 gigabytes of employee data. PwC has not commented on that specific claim.

A PwC spokesperson said the company secured the environment and conducted a review after learning of the incident. The company said its own network and operations were unaffected, and that the vendor site contained no client data, sensitive personal data or financial information.
