Intel said its first semiconductor fab at the Ohio One campus in New Albany remains on track for completion by 2031, according to WYSO Public Radio.

The company said the $28 billion campus remains part of its long-term manufacturing strategy, but project deadlines are flexible according to customer demand. Construction has slowed, the report said, and Intel did not disclose how much of the nearly 1,000-acre site is complete. The report said Intel had invested more than $5 billion at the site by the end of last year, or about $7 billion including contract commitments.
