Pi adds native MCP support and JavaScript tool orchestration

Earendil says upgraded versions of Pi now include native support for MCP, a protocol for connecting AI agents to external tools. Support previously came through an extension. The change exposes tools through a JavaScript sandbox that lets the agent combine and coordinate calls. Pi automatically loads this orchestration facility, called Codemode, when MCP is configured. Tool configuration can also defer loading or make tools available specifically through Codemode. Earendil says many MCP servers still return text optimized for direct model context, limiting how effectively their tools can be combined.
