AWS says Certificate Manager now supports automated public TLS certificate issuance and renewal through the ACME protocol in AWS GovCloud (US-East) and AWS GovCloud (US-West). A managed server endpoint issues certificates from Amazon Trust Services through compatible software clients.

Supported clients include Certbot, cert-manager for Kubernetes and acme.sh. The service provides a standards-based automation path as the CA/Browser Forum mandates 47-day certificate lifetimes by 2029.
