# Photonic reports Nature Communications publication on QLDPC logic

Photonic said Nature Communications published its paper on SHYPS quantum low-density parity-check codes. The company says the peer-reviewed work shows that the code family can perform quantum computation and error correction efficiently, rather than only store information. At the code sizes tested, the source says SHYPS required meaningfully fewer physical qubits than surface codes while remaining competitive on logical clock time and performance. The approach is available only to high-connectivity systems, according to the company.
