Accrual announced an agreement to acquire the accounting-firm technology and business of AI-guided bookkeeping provider Puzzle. Puzzle founder Sasha Orloff and other team members are set to join Accrual, while Puzzle will retain its brand and continue serving small businesses and startups directly. Accrual plans to incorporate Puzzle's technology, including its Close AI workflows, into its client accounting services offering. The transaction is expected to close in coming weeks, subject to customary conditions; Accrual says its CAS product remains in early access, with broader availability planned by the end of 2026.
