Anthropic merges Claude Cowork and chat

Anthropic is merging Claude Cowork and chat into one Claude experience, according to an announcement cited by Simon Willison. The company said the combined product can handle quick questions or continue work after a user closes a laptop. It is rolling out first to existing and new Pro and Max subscribers in Claude's web, desktop and mobile apps over coming weeks. The account does not define the final feature boundaries.
