# AWS brings managed Prometheus collection to New Zealand region

_Published Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 2:10 PM EDT · Infrastructure · Latest · Tier 2 — Notable_

AWS has made its managed Prometheus collector available in the Asia Pacific (New Zealand) Region. The company says customers can now run compatible monitoring workloads locally, keeping their data in-country and reducing latency for local workloads.

The collector discovers and gathers monitoring metrics from container workloads without requiring customers to operate collection agents. It sends those metrics to an Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus workspace for querying and analysis. AWS manages the collection infrastructure, removing the need for customers to maintain and scale it themselves.
