# AWS adds cross-account backup controls to European Sovereign Cloud

AWS announced support for managing and copying backups across accounts in its European Sovereign Cloud Germany Region. Organizations can now deploy common backup policies and monitor backup, copy and restore jobs centrally through AWS Organizations.

Customers can copy recovery points to a backup vault in another organizational account, adding protection against accidental or malicious deletion in the source account. They can also appoint a member account to administer backups without access to the management account. The capabilities carry no additional charge; standard AWS Backup pricing applies.
