Fujifilm announced a phased ₹800 crore investment to establish a semiconductor-materials facility in Dholera, Gujarat, aimed at supplying Tata Electronics' upcoming chip fabrication plant. The company said the project would localize production of high-purity chipmaking chemicals, with the first phase targeted for completion by 2028. Fujifilm also plans to share technology and quality-control processes with Indian chemical manufacturers and expects to expand its local workforce from 10 to about 70 people over five years.
