Energize Lab's Eiliko robot service exposed private conversations and allowed remote changes to a toy's memory and responses, The Verge reported. Researcher Sammy Azdoufal demonstrated access to the reporter's transcript and a database containing 13 million conversations across an apparent active fleet of 68,000 robots.

The service built personal profiles from conversations, and some children's photos and user audio recordings were stored at public web addresses. Azdoufal also altered the reporter's robot remotely, making it deliver false and sexually explicit responses. His claim that an attacker could manipulate the entire fleet simultaneously extends beyond that demonstration. Energize Lab did not answer substantive questions after repeated outreach.
