NCC Group identified a Windows malware framework called BraZetsu that uses AI models to profile victims, analyze compromised environments and identify valuable corporate systems, THE Journal reported. Its quarterly threat review describes the framework's evolution into a specialized toolkit for gaining initial access.

BraZetsu searches for enterprise software, financial data, digital certificates and cloud credentials, helping operators identify access they can sell to other criminals. The review also recorded 2,865 ransomware victim claims in the third quarter of 2026, up from 2,325 in the previous quarter. Those figures count victim claims rather than confirmed attacks.
