Rcapital acquires ES Broadcast Hire in complex carve-out deal

Investment firm Rcapital has acquired ES Broadcast Hire Limited from ES Media Group Limited in a transaction described as a complex carve-out, the companies announced. The business will operate as an independent facility backed by Rcapital to support its next phase of growth. Founder and managing director Warren Taggart will continue to lead the company, which he established 14 years ago. Chris Eyles, group chief operating officer at ES Broadcast and former operations director at ES Broadcast Hire, will also remain on the management team. Taggart said the company is delighted with the investment from Rcapital and noted there are huge opportunities to scale the business with focused investment. He added the firm is excited to have found a partner who has demonstrated a deep understanding of the business and clear alignment on strategy. Lewis Burnham, investment director at Rcapital, said ES Broadcast Hire is already a highly successful and profitable business. He said Rcapital looks forward to working with the management team to support growth plans and thanked advisors who supported the transaction. ES Broadcast Hire is headquartered in Watford and operates globally with offices in Florida and Spain. In May, Broadcast Tech reported that ES Broadcast, ES Broadcast Hire and ES Broadcast Systems Integration were planning to appoint administrators while part of ES Media Group.
