# Prospero offers coding agents desktop control and remote execution

Prospero's developer has introduced a coding tool that lets AI agents edit files, run commands, control desktops and coordinate subagents. The open source Community Edition is available at no cost on GitHub; a paid Professional Edition includes engines for deploying agents to remote Windows, macOS and Linux systems.

The tool runs its interface separately from its execution engine and can keep tasks running after the interface disconnects. It requires users to supply a model endpoint, such as a local server or an API provider. The developer cautions that its permission system cannot contain a malicious agent; restricting access requires isolating the tool itself.
