Netflix will lay off about 6% of its workforce, or close to 1,000 staff, the company confirmed to TechCrunch. Most cuts will affect its product, technology, legal and human resources departments. Netflix had 16,000 full-time employees at the end of last year, according to its annual regulatory filing. The company said it would continue investing in areas it considers high impact and remained on track to deliver its full-year forecast. Netflix reported $45.2 billion in revenue in 2025, with advertising revenue rising to over $1.5 billion.
