Waymo has begun offering fully autonomous rides to public passengers in Las Vegas, its first public robotaxi market in Nevada, Yahoo Finance reported. The service starts with a few dozen vehicles in an area spanning nearly 24 miles, including Allegiant Stadium and The Venetian.

Waymo plans to expand the fleet, most of which will use its Ojai vehicle with a sixth-generation driving system. Amazon-backed Zoox began paid rides in Las Vegas in August, giving Waymo an established rival as it opens service there.
