Firebird, an emerging AI cloud, launched what NVIDIA's blog calls the CIS region's largest AI factory in Armenia, built on NVIDIA accelerated computing and Dell Technologies high-performance AI infrastructure.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Zhaslan Madiyev, and U.S. chargé d'affaires David Allen attended the opening. Firebird plans to deploy more than 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs and 300 megawatts of AI infrastructure capacity in Armenia by the end of 2027.

The plant is built on the NVIDIA DSX platform, which NVIDIA says can run up to 40% more GPUs on the same footprint. With NVIDIA's support, Firebird is pursuing an approximately 2-gigawatt AI infrastructure roadmap across Armenia, Kazakhstan, and other markets.

NVIDIA said it intends to invest in Firebird after an earlier CoreWeave investment this year. Schneider Electric is supplying power systems in Hrazdan and Vertiv is providing cooling. Perplexity is cited as an early customer seeking high-performance capacity for its agent platform and answer engine. NVIDIA said the Armenia site was delivered in just over six months on Dell PowerEdge servers.
