Amazon Web Services released TorchNeuron on Monday to run PyTorch AI applications on its Trainium chips, TechCrunch reported. Amazon says developers can make the move by changing one configuration line without rewriting their code.

PyTorch provides tools to build, train and run AI models. AWS also says it is contributing changes to the main PyTorch project to remove dependencies on specific chips, seeking broader hardware compatibility.

The release gives developers another hardware option within AWS. Simple configuration changes already support moving PyTorch applications to AMD GPUs and Apple chips, and AWS does not claim the cheapest per-token price.
