Persona, a personal AI assistant startup founded by Cal AI co-founder Zach Yadegari, has raised $10 million, TechCrunch reports. Vine Ventures led the round, with Cory Levy and Collective Global participating. A free beta already lets users interact with the assistant through iMessage.

Yadegari says Persona can order food or rides, book travel and handle notes and emails. Its $179 wearable band is expected in December and will activate through a button or wrist movement rather than continuously record.

The model runs in Persona's cloud, where user data is sent. The company says users can delete their data. Its advertising model includes sponsored products in shopping research.
