# Oracle Database@AWS adds aggregate and default routes for database connections

Oracle Database@AWS now lets customers advertise aggregate routes and a default route when connecting application networks to database networks through ODB peering, AWS announced. Customers previously had to advertise a separate address range for each network that needed database access.

A single aggregate or default route can now cover networks reachable through the peered Amazon VPC, including those connected through AWS Transit Gateway. This removes the need to update advertised address ranges for each additional network. The capability is available in every AWS Region offering Oracle Database@AWS, on ODB networks that support multiple peering connections.
