# ClarityCheck says it secured exposed database of 9 million image files

ClarityCheck, a reverse-image people-finder service, acknowledged ownership of a cloud database containing about 9,042,977 publicly accessible image files, security researcher Jeremiah Fowler said. The database was neither password-protected nor encrypted and included primarily facial images, including images of adults, teens and children, according to Fowler's limited review. Fowler said the files totaled 450.2GB and may have been exposed for several months. ClarityCheck said it has secured the data.
