Taiwanese prosecutors have indicted 10 company leaders over alleged sales of restricted Texas Instruments and Analog Devices chips to China, Tom's Hardware reports, citing United Daily News. Investigators believe the military-grade parts reached Chinese research units developing missiles and radar.

Prosecutors say buyers used false end-user statements, including orders in the name of Taiwan's defense research institute, and declared foreign-made chips as made in Taiwan to deceive customs. The distributors were allegedly duped.

Charges include fraud, forgery and money laundering offenses. Prosecutors seek prison terms of 2 to 10 years for each defendant and confiscation of proceeds. The components are radar and radio-frequency parts, rather than AI accelerators.
