Alibaba plans to scale future Qwen models to between 5 trillion and 10 trillion parameters and expand its global cloud data center capacity to more than 20 gigawatts by 2032, according to a report on its September 22 announcement. The company also announced a new AI chip, the Zhenwu V900.

Alibaba says the chip delivers three times the performance of its previous M890 and is scheduled for mass production and commercialization in the first quarter of 2027. The model sizes and capacity target are plans; the report gives no release dates or independent performance results for the future models.
