Apple's updated CarPlay Developer Guide says CarPlay audio and video apps also work on HomeView without modifications. Apps with the relevant CarPlay entitlements will appear on the device, giving developers a route to HomeView despite its lack of an App Store.

Video apps gained CarPlay support in iOS 27, but automakers must explicitly enable the video feature, and most do not. Services such as YouTube and Netflix could reach HomeView by adding CarPlay support; their participation remains conditional on doing so.
