Google Cloud introduced IAM Helper, a suite that lets coding assistants and deployment agents troubleshoot permissions, prepare access policies, simulate changes and request temporary privileges. Its workflows connect agents to existing Google Cloud identity and access management services, including Policy Intelligence and Privileged Access Manager.

Diagnostics and simulations run automatically, while access-policy changes pause for human confirmation under customizable risk tiers. The policy simulator tests proposed changes against 90 days of historical access logs. Foundational tools exposed through Google-managed MCP servers are read-only; the broader skills orchestrate workflows that can lead to approved policy changes.
