# Memoir preprint reports reusable memory method for filtering security alerts

Researchers propose Memoir, a framework that learns from false alarms in software security scans, and report an F1-score of 99.43%, recall of 98.88% and perfect precision on CWE-Bench-Java. The preprint says it outperformed the comparison methods.

Memoir uses a language model to turn historical false alarms into reusable patterns, checks retrieved patterns against vulnerability categories and security requirements, and adds verified predictions to its memory. An industrial case study reports transfer across scanning tools without retraining, but identifies the participating business only as a top IT company.
