AWS launches ECS Gateway to automate shared load balancing

AWS launches ECS Gateway to automate shared load balancing Image: Primary
AWS has made Amazon ECS Gateway available in all commercial AWS Regions where ECS operates, automating the infrastructure that routes incoming traffic to container services. Platform teams configure networking standards centrally, and application teams connect services through a service parameter. The gateway provisions certificates, hostnames, routing rules and security groups in customers' accounts. Up to 25 services can share one Application Load Balancer, and ECS adds or removes load balancers as needed. The gateway carries no additional charge, but customers pay for underlying resources. Deployments fail if the configured load-balancer limit is reached and existing balancers have no capacity.
