Voyager Technologies' Griffin-1 lunar lander has passed environmental tests at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA said. The tests simulated launch vibration and noise, electronic interference, and the temperature extremes and vacuum the spacecraft will encounter in space.

The lander is expected to launch later this year aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy under NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative. It will carry 10 science and technology demonstrations from six countries to Nobile Crater near the lunar South Pole, including Astrolab's FLIP rover.

Griffin-1 has returned to Voyager Lunar Systems' facility for final assembly. Launch-readiness operations remain before shipment to Cape Canaveral.
