Minerva Humanoids announced approximately $10 million in pre-seed funding led by General Catalyst, with Long Journey Ventures and Credo Ventures as co-leads. The company is emerging from stealth and says it is launching its first paid pilots this fall for hazardous energy and public safety work.

Its Roger humanoid lets a trained specialist operate remotely through a VR headset. The company's AI system handles balance, fall recovery and navigation while the operator controls critical actions.

Minerva's first prototypes are manufactured and assembled in Germany. It plans production in Germany and the United States, with the funding supporting hardware and AI development for deployments later this year.
