US District Judge Leonie Brinkema declined to order Google to sell its AdX advertising exchange after previously finding the company had illegally maintained monopolies in key ad-tech markets, Outlook Business reported. The judge accepted most proposed behavioral remedies instead of the Justice Department's requested divestiture. The case concerns the technology used to host publisher advertisements and advertising exchanges; publishers pay Google a 20% fee on AdX transactions, the report said.
