Swiss e-reader brand PocketBook has unveiled its latest device, the Era Lite. The company announced that the Era Lite offers users an open ecosystem with full control over their content, allowing readers to choose where to buy books instead of being tied to a single store.

The new reader supports 25 popular formats without conversion and includes compatibility with Adobe and LCP DRM, enabling borrowing ebooks from public libraries via the pre-installed Libby app. The Era Lite features a seven-inch display with 300 pixels per inch resolution, 16GB storage, physical page-turn buttons, and IPX4 water resistance.

Pricing is set at $199, 199€, and £179 in the U.K.
