# YouTube adds AI channel advice and tests multiple video versions

YouTube announced new creator tools that can suggest changes to older videos and test different versions of a video with small audience groups, The Verge reports. An AI assistant will scan a channel's back catalog for videos gaining new relevance and suggest revised titles or thumbnails. It can also assemble brand pitches using a channel's audience data.

Creators can test up to three video versions, such as different openings, and select the one with the highest watch time; YouTube may choose automatically after seven days. A company executive said the versions must not differ dramatically. YouTube declined to share data showing whether its earlier optimization tools improved creators' results.
