Pan-African digital-infrastructure group WIOCC announced a $300 million shareholder subscription agreement with Africa Finance Corporation and Vision International Investment Company. WIOCC said the investment will accelerate data-center deployment and consolidation, expand its open-access terrestrial-fiber footprint, and support investment in new subsea assets. The company owns data-center operator OADC, which has six hyperscale data centers and more than 30 edge sites across South Africa, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria.
