Google plans Gemini model restrictions and wider Deep Think access

Google plans Gemini model restrictions and wider Deep Think access Image: Primary
Google will restrict which Gemini models free users and AI Plus subscribers can access, an updated support document says. Starting October 9, free users will lose access to Flash and Pro and be limited to Flash-Lite. AI Plus subscribers paying $4.99 per month will retain Flash-Lite and Flash but lose Pro; Google will email them the effective date. AI Pro customers paying $19.99 per month will gain Deep Think, an option for parallel reasoning currently available on the $99.99 and $199.99 monthly plans. Google has not specified whether Gemini 4 Argon will count as a Pro model or occupy a higher tier.
