IDScan.net said an unauthorized third party may have accessed or copied customer information in accounts on its cloud platform, including full names and driver's-license or other government-issued identification numbers. The company said it detected unauthorized access around September 1 and brought in third-party forensic specialists. A criminal marketplace had advertised more than 153 million U.S. and Canadian driver's licenses, according to the report, while the FBI's New Orleans office opened an inquiry.
