# Physical Intelligence opens API beta for robot model training

Physical Intelligence announced a Pi API beta that gives developers access to its latest robot models for training and inference. Developers upload demonstration data, launch fine-tuning on infrastructure the company manages, and run the adapted models through a hosted gateway.

The company says early-access partners independently collected demonstrations, trained models and used robot failures to guide further data collection. Most showcased applications used cloud-hosted inference. Some encountered network connectivity challenges, and developers seeking beta participation must tell the company what they want to build.
