AWS brings Lambda durable functions to European Sovereign Cloud

AWS says Lambda durable functions are now available in its European Sovereign Cloud region. Developers can use steps and waits in a function to save progress, recover from failures and pause a process without incurring compute charges while an on-demand function is waiting. The regional release lets customers build multistep processes, including order workflows, onboarding and AI-assisted tasks, within that cloud environment. AWS says the feature can be activated for new Lambda functions using supported Python, Node.js or Java versions. The announcement covers this region and those new functions.
