# IRS replaces IRS2Go with app offering personal tax account services

The Internal Revenue Service has launched a free mobile app replacing IRS2Go and expanding access to personal tax account services, WSVN reported. Available through Apple's App Store and Google Play, it lets taxpayers check refund statuses, view balances, make payments and access tax transcripts.

Users can also view select notices, manage communication preferences and obtain an Identity Protection PIN. IRS2Go users with automatic updates enabled will transition automatically. Business tax account and tax professional services remain on IRS.gov.
