Libreboot released version 26.10 with full UEFI support on nearly all supported mainboards, enabling compatible operating systems including Microsoft Windows to boot through its open source firmware. The release uses MrChromebox's EDK2 implementation by default on nearly all 64-bit-compatible hardware, with EFI versions of GRUB and SeaBIOS available for backward compatibility.

The project also imported all 233 Chromebook boards supported by MrChromebox. Those Chromebook configurations require users to build from source because binaries are not provided; only Baytrail's Kip board has been tested in this release.

Older hardware limited to 32-bit operation retains the previous boot setup. Support for larger graphics-card memory allocations is available but disabled by default because testing found problems with integrated Intel graphics output.
