Cronos resumed block production after halting its network following a price-manipulation attack on the Tectonic lending platform. The attacker inflated Tectonic's TONIC token price by 100 times and used it as collateral to borrow $74 million, according to the report. Blockchain security firm PeckShield said roughly $6 million in Ethereum was stolen, while the rest was stuck on Cronos. Cronos said it restored chain state to before the exploit and restarted block production at 23:49:01 UTC on August 30.
