Vercel announced general availability of Vercel Shop, an open source Next.js storefront template for Shopify, alongside Shopify's rebuilt Hydrogen SDK for use across JavaScript frameworks. The template serves machine-readable prices, availability and product options at the same URLs people use to browse.

It also exposes tools at merchants' domains that let agents search products and build carts through the Model Context Protocol. Agents can obtain checkout links, while the template's built-in shopping assistant shares a cart with the visual storefront.
