The FBI has told agents and support staff that their personal information was stolen in a cyberattack on its job application portal, TechCrunch reported, citing an internal notification first reported by MS Now. The notice reportedly said names, addresses, job titles and Social Security numbers were exposed; other outlets reported that some stolen records included medical information.

The notice marks a change from the bureau's public statement last week that data theft was still undetermined. The hacking group ShinyHunters claimed it exploited an Oracle PeopleSoft server used by the portal. The FBI has not publicly confirmed the reported data theft.
