Imperial researchers report AI ECG triage results in 67,000-patient trial
Image: Primary Researchers at Imperial College London reported at the European Society of Cardiology congress that an AI system analyzing ECGs identified up to 81% of heart-failure cases and up to 90% of valve-disease cases in a U.S. trial covering 67,000 patients. The proposed use is triage: ECGs already collected in care could identify patients more likely to need ultrasound assessment. The work is being commercialised through spinout Cardiovolt.ai.
