ChargePoint says charging sessions rose 34% in 2025 while new charger installations increased 16%, according to a company report cited by Ars Technica. The company says more than 1.8 million EVs were sold through August. Its chief executive said requests for charging solutions had not slowed. The figures point to a widening gap between use of charging networks and deployment of new equipment, although the report does not establish a nationwide capacity measure.
