Zhipu says GLM-5.3 gained cyber capabilities during post-training

Zhipu has launched GLM-5.3, a coding-focused model that the company says developed stronger cybersecurity capabilities as it scaled post-training. In company testing, it reported an 84.5% CyberGym score and said the model found 2,436 vulnerabilities across 269 projects after review and deduplication. Zhipu plans to release the model's weights about two weeks after launch, following safety evaluation and hardening. It did not say how many reported findings were previously unknown or independently reproduced, or describe additional safeguards for the open-weight release.
