# San Francisco sues Trump Media over paid early access to posts

San Francisco sued Trump Media & Technology Group in California state court, alleging that its Truth API unlawfully sells early access to market-moving posts by President Donald Trump and other officials. The service charges selected customers $100,000 a month for access to ten influential Truth Social accounts.

The city argues that the arrangement facilitates insider trading and violates California's Unfair Competition Law as well as federal ethics and anti-corruption laws. It seeks an order barring Truth API and similar services, plus $2,500 for each state-law violation. The allegations have not been adjudicated, and Trump Media has not disclosed its API customers.
