# AWS opens bulk S3 writes into existing DynamoDB tables

_Published Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 4:10 PM EST · Infrastructure · Latest · Tier 2 — Notable_

AWS has made bulk put items generally available for Amazon DynamoDB, allowing developers to write data from Amazon S3 into existing tables without building a custom ingestion pipeline. AWS says the managed feature handles writes without affecting existing workloads.

Developers point the service at input files in S3. Each item can carry a condition that enforces insert-only writes or guards against overwriting a different version. The Standard tier is available in all commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions; the Accelerated tier serves more time-sensitive workloads and has separate regional availability.
