Kagi announced it is ending development of its Orion browser for Linux and Windows to focus its small team on macOS and iOS. The company plans to release the Linux and Windows source code and provide details within the next 30 days. The Linux beta will keep working but stops receiving Kagi updates after October 2, 2026; Kagi advises against using it as a main browser. The planned late-2026 Windows launch will no longer come from Kagi. The company has contacted open-source organizations about stewardship and says it will not serve as the projects' core maintainer.
